CALL FOR ENTRY: 2012 – 2015
Eligibility: Original prints, drawings, and other graphic materials including sculpture and installation by any member of SGC International in good standing completed between 2008 and 2012, new memberships are welcome.
2-d submissions should be no larger than 28”x26”. Sculptural submissions should be no larger than 24” in any dimension, and weigh no more than 15 lbs. Installation submissions should pack into a container no larger than 24” in any dimension and weigh no more than 15lbs
Juror: Frances Myers is a print artist who works in and teaches etching. She continually reinvigorates her prolific career as a printmaker through her experiments with unusual materials and new technologies – digital prints, installation and video. She teaches in, and is Chair of, the Graphics Area of the Art Department at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She has received two National Endowment for the Arts Fellowships, H.I. Romnes and Kellett Mid-Career Awards from her university. She has chaired and participated in many panels and symposiums concerning print issues, including the College Art Association, SGC International, the Proof in Print Symposium, Boston, “The Digital Revolution in Print” panel, Cortona, Italy, etc. Myers has exhibited in solo and group exhibitions internationally and throughout the United States. Her work has been collected by most museum print rooms in this country and many abroad including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, the National Museum of American Art, Washington, D,C,, The Chicago Art Institute, The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, the Grunwald Center for the Graphic Arts, Los Angeles, the Victoria & Albert Museum, London, and the Musee des Arts Decoratif, Paris.

March 14, 2012: Show Premieres at SGC International conference in New Orleans, LA
Spring 2015: End of exhibit traveling in US, begins traveling internationally
Spring of 2017: End of exhibit traveling internationally
Entry Procedures: A non-refundable entry fee of $25 for three entries (1 image for 2-d submissions, 2-3 images for sculpture and installation submissions). Artists will receive a Paypal prompt after receipt of submission email.
Submissions are accepted via email ONLY.
- JPEG images, 2100 pixels on the longest side (as attachments)
- Image list: artist name, contact info, title of the work, medium, dimensions and year completed (in body of email)
- 1 page Artist statement and CV (Microsoft Word) (as attachments)
- SGC International membership number (in body of email)

The SGCI is the largest print organization in North America. Its annual conference is the biggest annual gathering focused on the field of printmaking. Artists from all 50 states attend the conference. Regular international attendees come from Canada, South and Central America, and Europe. While organizing a conference is a lot of work, there are significant professional benefits to the host institution, its faculty and students.
